Little O' This

Just Catching My Breath

The days since we’ve been home from Hawaii have been busy and filled with family and friends who gathered to say good-bye to Steve’s grandma at her funeral this weekend. She was 97 years old and lived a rich and full life that impacted so many people.

I have yet to start working on a little video of our vacation but I fully intend to do so once life gets back to normal.

Until then, here are a few little samples to tide you over:

Here’s how we spent most afternoons. Lounging by the pool or beach.

And THIS is how you gain four pounds in 10 days (how I wish I were exaggerating). Mahi mahi sandwiches by the truckload. Sweet mercy.

Hula babes.

My new bathing suit. And my new belly bump.

Here’s Avelyn modeling the teeny bikini we bought for her. She looks a little uncertain about showing that much skin.

But then she decides to rock the immodesty with pride.

  • mmmm… Mahi mahi…I was pregnant in Hawaii, and I could’ve eaten Mahi mahi for every meal. I think I did actually.

  • Awww!!! Looks like you had a good time! Can’t wait to see more pictures! You are looking marvelous and so is little Avelyn in that teeny bikini!!!

  • Suppose you could always blame the weight gain on the baby!

  • 4 lbs is that it?!? Try 10 lbs on a 1 week cruise. That is how much I and my friends each gained on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Cruises are dangerous!

Avelyn is adorable in her polka dot bikini, and you look great!

My condolences to you and your family on the loss of Steve’s grandma.

  • I want her bikini!!!

Looks like you had a fabulous time with your hubby :) And you are looking so great!!!

    :-)

  • Four pounds? That’s it? I gained five on my honeymoon in seven days, and that was mostly from fruity alcohol drinks. I say, with a baby in your tummy and only four pounds of weight gain while on vacation is something to write home about.

  • I love your bathing suit…so flattering, you look wonderful…can’t even see where the four pounds is. LOVE Avelyn’s suit. She looks hilarious. Very similar build to Chloe. I love bikini’s on toddlers…the bellies are fantastic! Can’t wait to see a classic Amanda video with great commentary.
