Friends Are Swell, Wedded Bliss

We Like To Party

The past two nights have been great fun.  Thursday’s Jann Arden concert was amazing but after being out later then eleven o’clock two nights in a row I am too tired to blog coherently about it.  So read this instead.

Last night we put on our fancy duds.  Well, my fancy duds consisted of a $7 dress from the thrift store I found nearly a decade ago and some $15 shoes.  And we couldn’t find Steve’s lone pair of dress pants so he wore jeans.

Could have been worse, right?

I love getting dressed up, even though all the things I really want to wear still make me look like a sausage.  And the fact that I did my first serious faceplant off the Weight Watchers wagon last night probably didn’t help matters much.  (I landed in a platter of almond roca, rum balls and egg rolls and had no choice but to eat my way out.  Points, shmoints!)

  • That last photo is my favourite. I have already said it on Facebook, but we are FIERCE.

(I should point out that I am NOT pregnant – that would be a shadow.)

  • I didn’t notice Angella’s pregnant shadow until she mentioned it. Now I can’t stop staring.

The $7 dress looks fabulous on you!

  • still look hot as ever!

  • Great photos!!! Sounds like you all had a great time!

  • Sounds like you had a great time. :)
I saw Jann Arden in Costco last year. I was one of those people that did the double take because I couldn’t believe it was actually her…shopping in the same Costco that I shop in. Then all I did was smile at her and say hi. How ridiculous is that?

  • Ha! I was totally going to call you all fierce, too, but instead I shall second Ang’s emotion. The first picture is my favorite; I’m such a fan of the arms-length self-take.

(And Chris brought home Almond Roca yesterday, as a “surprise.” He’s so sweet but oh my stars how I don’t need almond roca right now. But they are SO GOOD. So yes, Holiday Food Dilemma is game on.)

  • That is quite the amazing dress for being a 7$ thrift store find! Go you!! I never find anything good at the thrift store… I guess I just don’t have the patience to look hard enough! :(

  • it’s the perfect little black dress…even more so for $7!!!

  • Wow! Nice dress — and $7?? EVEN BETTER!!

And my hubby has one pair of slacks, too. lol.
The holidays are for FOOD…so don’t be so hard on yourself. :) You look fabulous and just pick back up after the holidays! :) That’s what I’m doing.
