Friends Are Swell

Island Girls

This weekend we celebrated as my friend, Heather, tied the knot. She was a vision in her tiered gown and I’ve never seen her happier. Some of my old cronies from Capernwray Bible School were there and I must note that the (nearly ten!) years have been kind to us. That is one HOT group of ladies up there. If I do say so myself. And I do.

This summer has been a wild ride: lots of company, lots of fun, lots of food, lots of sand. I must admit that I am craving the structure that comes with fall, however. Avelyn starts preschool two mornings a week (*weeps with joy*) and I am ready for some semblance of routine again.

Here’s to September!

  • I LOVE SEPTEMBER. Kaylie started school today (which, now that I mention it, means that I have to remember to PICK HER UP).

Looking forward to hearing about how much you enjoy your QUIET mornings!!

  • I love September and the structure it brings. Not as much as I love summer by I’m always ready for fall. :)

  • Totally great photo. I didn’t say it on facebook, but you guys are all gorgeous! Yes, here’s to some kind of a routine…

  • Pretty ladies, INDEED.

I love structure, but hate being cold. I can’t win.

  • All of you look fabulous! What a beautiful bride…and a beautiful day for her to say, ‘I do!’

  • You all certainly looked hot! Sorry I didn’t get more of a chance to talk to you in real life…what with the three children and all…kinda takes away from true visiting! Glad you came!

  • What a great picture! You’re all very pretty!

I am beside myself too. My youngest will be in JK and my eldest in grade 1. That means a whole whopping 2 1/2 hours of “me” time!!! I won’t be one of those moms with tears in my eyes at the bus stop that first morning of school.. …unless they are tears of joy. Don’t get me wrong, I love my kids, but regular “me” time after almost 7 years is something I am really looking forward to.

  • You all look gorgeous!! That is such a cute dress, you look lovely in that champagne color. I am SO exstatic for Sept. I’m spending the first 2 weeks of it in Southeastern Alaska… It will be a great trip to end the summer. I’ll be glad for a new routine when I get home. The hustle and bustle of fall is my favorite time of year. Not to mention the end of 100° days! Hallelujah!

  • Absolutely beautiful picture! And I am so with you on the the fall structure! GOD HELP US!
