My Girl, My Girl 2.0

I Should Buy Shares in Febreze and Clorox

I snapped this photo this morning as I was making homemade playdough with the girls, Christmas music playing softly in the background. I was feeling like I had things under control; we were getting things cleaned and ready for my parents’ arrival and I was doing a good job of playing Supermom. Then round two of Barf-Fest 2010 hit the floor and the rest of the day has been spent sopping up vomit and I guess that my family will be greeted by the stench of stale ralf when they step through our doors tonight. Merry Christmas!

In between the heaving, we’ve been having fun. Karenna just makes me laugh and laugh with her hilarious antics. Here’s a little taste of her sweet craziness:

Barf and vomit and tantrums sometimes make me wonder why we chose to have children, but photos like the ones in this post, that capture the beauty of a rich personality that belongs to a little human I get to raise, remind me that it’s all worth it.

Kids: they barf all over your house but then they put on a hard hat and some fairy wings and start singing Little Drummer Boy while tapping a bongo and they go and totally redeem themselves.
