Little O' This

Loved, As of Late

I was thinking about some of my favourite things lately and thought I’d tell you about them, in case you’re looking for some new favourite things.

Favourite Kids’ Book:

“Big Rabbit’s Bad Mood” by Ramona Badescu

Oh, this book is so great! The illustrations are hilarious, the story line is fun and when Karenna is having a huge tantrum we’ll recite parts of this book and it makes her stop freaking out and before we know it she’s laughing.

Favourite Mascara:

Lancome Oscillation

It’s a tad pricey, but I’ve tried going back to the drugstore brands and find that they just kind of suck compared to it.

Favourite Pants:

The “Curvy” line of jeans and trousers from the Gap are specially designed for a gal who’s got a bit of rear and isn’t afraid to show it.

Favourite Work-Out:

I never thought I’d be saying this, but I love Boot Camp! While I’m there, I wince and pant and kind of feel like dying, but it leaves me feeling strong and capable and proud. I am the kind of person who needs someone to push me when it comes to physical exertion and I am loving the results.

Favourite Blogs You Might Not Have Heard Of:

Navigating the Mothership: Laura is hilarious and she’s pregnant with her second baby and every post of hers just cracks me up.

Meli-Mello: Melanie is a mom to two girls close in age to ours and she is a great writer, an honest example and is striving for great things.

Apartment Baby: Andrea lives in a condo in Vancouver and is mom to a sweet little boy. She loves lattes and her husband takes most of the amazing photos on her blog.

Check them out!

Do you have any great favourite things to share with me? Do go on!!

  • Wow! Thanks for the shout-out. Your blog was one of the first that made me really want to blog myself – I remember going through your archives all at once! Hi, my name is Laura and I binge on blogs.

Will have to check out those jeans in six months or so. It’s funny, the only time I get all excited about shopping and bother to really look at the J-Crew catalog is when I’m K.U. Makes total sense.

    Laura :)

  • Aw – I totally wasn’t expecting that. Makes me wish I had written anything of interest in the last week but instead we have descended into illness-hell around here. I think I’m just coming out of it now though as I am no longer wishing for death. ;)

I should check out those jeans too. After this past week of being sick I think I’ve lost some of the remaining baby weight. Not the best reason to lose weight (certainly not as good as bootcamp) but I’ll take it.

  • I love lists of favourites! I agree with you about the Gap curvy jeans. I’m wearing some right now. Fits me in all the right places too. My favourite mascara is a toss up between Clinique Pretty lashes and DiorShow by Dior.

Thanks for the shout out :)

  • Another thanks for a shout out. Your presence in the class makes the morning that much brighter and more fun! Seriously. You ARE strong, you have to be to even show up at that time…

  • Those jeans look awesome! I may have to stop by the Gap when I go to Vancouver next week..I’m in that awkward stage where maternity pants are too big, and I really shouldn’t be wearing them anyway, since my bebe is 6 weeks old…but pre preg pants don’t fit yet. I think that’s a great reason for new jeans :)

  • Yay, Boot Camp! See you in the a.m….

  • Several of you guys have me pumped about finding a local boot camp when I can start getting back into shape in a few months. For now I’m still embracing the need to eat whatever and whenever I want. Something about needing to feed someone else with my boobs makes me really hungry. :)
