Weight

Keep On Keepin’ On

ww.jpg

A little over two months ago I started Weight Watchers.

I am honestly a little surprised that I have stuck with it as well as I have (that’s not meant to sound boastful, rather honest about my history of weak will power) but I think I just know in my head and heart that it is a sensible and efficient way to shed unwanted weight. I always kind of rolled my eyes when people professed to have made a “lifestyle change” because it just sounded so hokey. But that’s just what I’ve done. I’ve traded in my ranch dressing and grilled cheese sandwiches for fruit by the cupful and whole wheat cereals. I still cling to my Flex Points for dear life and without them I am certain I would have fallen off the wagon and never hopped on again. Oh, Flex Points, how I love thee; here is a Haiku just for you.

Thanks for letting me

Eat pizza on the weekend.

Without you I’d die.

I’ve lost about 11 pounds and would like to lose another 10. I now weigh what I did when I got married and I feel good. I am still in desperate need of some toning exercise but I think that once the heat of summer lets up I’ll be more motivated to get moving.

I really hope this post doesn’t sound like I’m bragging. Yes, I am happy with the success I’ve experienced thus far but I’ve still got a ways to go. I just know how motivating it was for me to hear about some fellow bloggers succeeding on Weight Watchers and I’ve received a few emails from readers saying that I’ve inspired them to start the program. I’m humbled to hear that I could be someone’s catalyst for their own Lifestyle Change (yeah, it still totally sounds hokey).
