Yesterday morning as I was rummaging through my closet trying to piece together an outfit for work during the 5.8 minutes it takes Avelyn to consume her hunks of banana and multigrain cheerios, I grew a little weary.

I barely knew him but I’ll never forget him.
A few weeks ago, while he was still able to get around and before the cancer spread so deeply, I saw him at church, a few pews down from mine.
I have been blessed with a hard-working man who toils unceasingly to provide for his growing family. Sometimes, however, he works too much and too hard.
