Remember what a gong show breastfeeding was for me and Avelyn? Those first few weeks of her being unable to latch, and the screaming that ensued, were very hard.
Six months ago today Avelyn inched her way into the world and what a half-year it’s been! To commemorate her six month birthday (I know how cheesy that must sound to nonparents) I gave Avelyn a special g
“The water is wide I cannot cross o’er
And neither have I the wings to fly
Build me a boat that can carry two
And both shall row, my love and I”
My favourite time of the day is when I am cradling Avel
I am pretty sure that Avelyn is teething. Her cheeks are rosy, her top is soaked with a litre of drool, she is gnawing on everything she can get her paws on. Oh yeah, and she is GRUMPY.
Christy came over today and worked her magic. With her eye for photography, her Nikon D50, and her willingness to capture a squirmy baby on film (well, not film…digital file?) she went to town.
Wowzers! Thanks to all of you awesome delurkers! To show my gratitude for your forthcomingness (not likely a real word) here is a video. I hope it makes you smile.
