We just got back from a week in the frigid prairies, visiting my mom and dad in Regina. (I had forgotten how AWFUL the winters are there. Really, there are no words to describe the horror.
My Grandma and Grandpa used to live in a yellow farm house in small-town Saskatchewan and it had a tire swing in the gully, a big rock we’d have picnics on, and a massive ant hill down the dirt road that we would
School photos. Love them. I know lots of parents boycott them, but every year I shell out the $20 to get a few prints made and mail them out to far-away loved ones.
The middle of August has crept up on me like a thief in the night. Our summer has been packed full to the brim and here’s a few photos to prove it:

With Avelyn at school every day, these two get plenty of time together.
That means there’s also plenty of screaming and fighting, but amidst the chaos there is a sweet connection these two share.
