I left the house before ten yesterday morning, both girls strapped in their carseats, DVD player booting up. We were heading to the Kelowna airport (an hour’s drive) to pick up Christy.
It’s been cold. As such, we are stuck indoors. So how on earth do I keep a rowdy two year-old entertained? Well, we start with a round of Princess Tag:
That lasts for about three minutes.
I have taken a step away from the computer this week, out of sheer lack of hours. Here are some things I have learned in the meantime:
1. How to successfully grocery shop with two children perched in my cart.
2.
I just had the most satisfying vacuuming experience of my life thus far. I went out and bought the Dyson this morning and came home to see if it was going to live up to my expectations. It didn’t.
Our third vacuum in as many years has croaked. Last week I was absentmindedly vacuuming under Avelyn’s crib when it sucked up one of her socks and then the fragrant aroma of burnt rubber filled the room.
If that title isn’t a conversation stopper, I don’t know what is.
Avelyn is quite fond of throwing things. Always has been. Don’t feel like eating that animal cracker? Throw it.
