We just blew in from a windy, rainy drive home from Vancouver. We spent the weekend there visiting family and friends and all I can say is that I am verah, verah tried. Traveling with a toddler is work.
We did manage to have some fun: a trip to Science World, a stroll around Granville Island, some shopping, lots of delicious meals, and a few naps (meaning, I got a few naps while Nana kept Avelyn occupied. Honestly, I went to bed at 7:30 last night. You think I’m kidding, but I’m really not).
Steve was in charge of packing the playpen and he did a great job. Except that he forgot to bring the folding pad that goes on the bottom of the playpen, over the pokey bar and what not. So we put Rolo’s bed in the playpen to cushion her slumber.
Despite our best efforts she still managed to wedge herself in between the dog bed and the playpen wall.
PS: When did she become 8 feet long? She’s HUGE!

Awwww! Glad you had a nice weekend – and a few naps! That picture is adorable…Of course Avelyn would find that spot to sleep in!!! She really does look long in that picture!
That is hysterical!! M always manages to shove her face into the mesh walls – wakes up with a wonderful pattern on her cheeks. And the height thing – M was rolling about on the playroom floor the other day and holy cow – all of a sudden she is loooong!. How does that happen overnight?
THey always find a way, don’t they?
She is getting SO big! Get some rest!

oh there you are…welcome back. If Avelyn is 8ft tall then Chloe is 10ft….I have the amazon child and they can wrestle to prove their dominance. So I totally owe you an email back and I have been thinking about it…that is as far as I got. Dang it, we need IM so much easier and convenient then trying to type out an email.
