Avelyn boarded the Barf Train on Saturday night and went for a terrible ride down a very stinky, soggy rail for the next 24 hours.
There is nothing nice about sleeping on the floor in your baby’s room being awaken by the wretches of her dry heaving every half hour.
Poor kid.
So far Steve and I have managed to remain healthy and I hope our luck holds fast for the holidays.
My family arrives today and I am thrilled. Alas, this wee blog might be a tad abandoned (for real, this time) over the next few weeks as we partake of the Christmas season.
Best wishes to you all!

Sorry to hear that Avelyn had the oh so lovely stomach flu…hope you guys make it out without catching it also! Enjoy your holidays with the family!
Best wishes to you, too. Happy holidays to your family. And a sick-free baby girl in no time, too.
Merry Christmas!
Poor girl!
:(
At least I get to see you in person still. Like tonight!
:)
Guess who’s coming to town tomorrow? I apologize that the excitement of my arrival has thrown Avelyn into a nasty bout of anticipatory chunk-blowing.
ps. Life’s a garden… dig it.
Aww … poor little kiddo! I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family.
Last year on Dec 23rd, we sat down to watch Mary Poppins together, and one of my twins started barfing. Soon the other followed… the next morning I had it too. David and the baby remained untouched, and by Christmas day we were barf-free again, but all that food?? UGGGG. It hurt to see it all.
So I figure we’ve gotten our “sick for Christmas” out of the way for a few years? Right?
Hope you have too!
Oh no! Poor little girl! I suppose we are probably next….
No sooner had I written that when Camille started crying in her room. I ran in and she said, “Mommy, I don’t feel so good…..” and proceeded to barf all over her bed! I took her to the bathroom and she then threw up about five times in a row over the toilet.
So far I think Ben is okay but probably not for long!
Oh no! Lousy timing with so much else going on. I hope she is feeling completely better today.
Happy Holidays Amanda!
Merry Christmas and here’s to wishing for a barf-less visit.
That sucks. Figures it would happen during the Christmas season! At least it wasn’t longer, the first time my daughter had the flu (right before her first birthday) she threw up for five days. I didn’t think that was even possible. Good luck to you guys, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family!
Merry Chrismoose! Ha. Sorry. It was irresistible. Hope yours is lovely.
Awww…Poor baby girl! Hope she gets better quickly and that you have an awesome time with your family!
