Family Matters, My Girl, Wedded Bliss

Our Horns Have Plenty

Would you believe she did this the whole way to Vancouver and back home again?

It’s true.  She opened her eyes and got a little cranky in the stop ‘n’ go traffic while entering the big city but all in all she was the perfect travel companion.
Our weekend with Steve’s family was great.  There were mounds of turkey, piles of stuffing (my favourite) and lots of laughs.  We hit up Old Navy and I got Avelyn the cutest blazer and jeans but she won’t be big enough for them until next fall.
Upon arrival to Vancouver we were met with many pairs of arms who scooped Avelyn from my arms and showered her with love and cuddles, giving me a nice little break.  Steve and I were able to have some time to ourselves and take some classic arm’s length self portaits in the Volvo.

Rolo got shotgun for the bulk of the trip so I could sit in the backseat with Avelyn.
He was appropriately thrilled.

As nice as it was to get away, pulling up into our driveway and walking through our front door was sweet indeed.

  • That is a really sweet picture of Avelyn. What a honey. :)

Glad the weekend was a good one and that you have such an easy travelling babe!

  • Stuffing is my favoutie too!

  • You have a Volvo, too?!
    Ours is a 1990 Volvo Station Wagon….yours?

I’m madly in love with mine…I could never part with it but I don’t think it will be around too much longer….

  • I’m glad it went so well! That’s amazing.

  • Avelyn looks like she had her fair share of stuffing too! What a sweet pic, we missed her, & of course you guys too!! Glad you had a “shot” of city, it’s always fun to get away.

  • Aww. You guys are such a cute family. See you in a few days!!!

  • Awesome! Glad you guys had a great week end and that Avelyn was such a GREAT traveler. :) Walk tomorrow? Let me know.

  • Glad you’re back and we got to have a (quick) coffee this morning :)

  • Oh my goodness. I never considered that my crazy dog might have to ride shot gun once in a while when the baby arrives and I want to travel in the back seat of the car with him. He’s a holy terror of a car accident waiting to happen at the best times. Him being up front is just a frightening thought.

  • Your little girl is too cute :)
