Things I had forgotten:
1. How beat-up the body feels after labour.
2. How quickly the body recovers from labour. Every day I feel less sore, less afraid to poop.
3. How it feels to fill out an E(!) cup nursing bra. These jugs are HUGE.
4. How sleep deprivation is all-consuming.
5. How one’s fat pants become one’s skinny jeans again. I am thrilled to squeeze into my 12s. After Avelyn I was busting out of 16s, so success is relative.
Life is good, thanks to these two:
Happy weekend, everyone.

Aw!! They are totally gorgeous. And I KNOW YOUR PAIN about the E cup. Sheesh!
They are precious! I think Jolie looks like her Momma!
Those ringlets kill me! Beautiful girls.
Priceless picture!!
Jolie does look a lot like you!
Oh! Jolie has her eyes open!!! Your girls are so beautiful! Glad things are going ok!
Those ringlets are amazing! How is Rolo coping with another little one? I am pregnant with our first, and have a little cockapoo pup who thinks she is the queen!
They remind me so much of my own girls. Which of course means I think they are adorable, sweet as honey and that I love them to death. :)
I love the picture of the two of them! They’ll be such good friends so soon…
And yes to all your points except the E cup – I made it to a C which was impressive for me. And I’m thrilled to hear that you’re fitting into smaller sizes this time. I was the same and I’ve found that the return to ‘normal’ has been easier and quicker the second time around.
Glad all is going well!
Awww–totally worth the fear-of-pooping :)
Eeek – I totally forgot about the fear of pooping! It’s good to remind each other of these things, lest we repeat the process over and over, which I long to do. Hubby insists I be happy with four.
Both of your babies are gorgeous. Congratulations.
Too sweet! Looks liek she is waving:)
So precious!! And it’s funny to hear about the poop…I was the SAME way!!
She does look a lot like you! Adorable!
What a cute picture!
Great picture. Sounds like you’re doing well… Cheers to feeling less sore and less afraid to poop each day! Oh how I remember those days… like it was yesterday:)
Your jugs are looking pretty hot ;)
Your girls are so sweet. It was great getting to meet them (and you!) over the weekend.
And I love Avelyn’s ringlets to pieces :)
I wanted to comment on your birth story post but it wouldn’t let me… so … I just wanted to say that the yawning picture of your new sweetie is SO adorable.
Oh and that I could’ve titled my first born’s story the same as one of you alternate titles regarding blood. Fun, huh?
Anyway, just came over from Angela’s place. Congratulations!!
