Now I Want a Nanny

My mom leaves tomorrow.  While she has been in town she has basically held Avelyn 23 hours out of every day.  "Can I feed her?  Can I change her?  Can I get up with her when she wakes up in the morning?  Can I babysit while you and Steve got out?  Can I rock her to sleep?"

Um.  YES!

The helping hands have provided a beautiful break for me and I have been able to get some much needed vacuuming done as well as enabling me to get out and enjoy some time with the hubby and my great gal pals.  It’s been nice to feel like just Amanda and not AmandaTheMommy.

So thanks, mom!

I am just so thankful for all of the great people in our lives who truly love Avelyn and are so ready and excited to cuddle her to no end.  It really means a lot and I appreciate it so much.

  • Your mom is great! I’m glad you got some “me” and “Steve and me” time :)

  • Just remember that poor old Grandpa hasn’t eaten a decent meal in three days. Near desperation, I had to eat some spinach salad that master chef Uncle Steve made last night, and I haven’t felt right since. When does Grandma’s plane leave again?

  • Oh Granpa, I (almost) feel for you. Had a nice visit & lunch with Sherry today, but we did miss you.
Amanda, anytime I can steal that baby away from you, plse. plse. call me, grannie Sue is always more than happy to snuggle her.

  • I can be your nanny Amanda I just quit my job so I have free time on my hands right now.
