On days when I am particulary overwhelmed by the needs of two kids, I say to Steve, “Please don’t make me have anymore kids. What’s the point? Even if you do get that boy you’ve always dreamed of, he’ll probably want to be a ballerina or something. Let’s just stick with what we’ve got.”
Avelyn has struck the balance perfectly as far as her interests go. She loves to wear her princess dress, drape herself in costume jewellery and watch Disney princess movies. But she also loves to dig in the dirt, chase the dog in the orchard and ride the dirtbike with her dad.
(I know she’s not wearing a helmet and you can put me right up there with Britney Spears and her baby on her lap while she drove her car, but, well, we don’t have one that fits her and Steve went real slow. We’re country, OK? )
PS: I KNOW you can buy pre-crushed Oreo crumbs but they are not as good as the real cookies, icing and all, smashed up in big chunks. So that was my reasoning. I like to go above and beyond. And sometimes that means there will be a hammer and some crying involved.

Well Steve budy, I don’t have to see your smile to know how much fun you were having. I can’t wait to finish my atv and take my two girls out, because we both know they will be 5 or so dy the time I get it rebuilt. Say that looks like a bike I haven’t seen. Can’t wait to see your family again. Corey and family.
