Little O' This, My Girl 2.0

Behind Me

A few reflections on my past week:

1. The only sound more upsetting to listen to at 3 am than the sound of your baby wailing is your husband, who has two earplugs blissfully stuffed in his hairy ears, SNORING as he sleeps through it all in a peaceful oblivion.

2. Trying to start Weight Watchers last week was stupid.

3. Babies have short memories and adapt quickly: Jolie probably doesn’t even remember that we used to swaddle her every night. Now she loves her sleep sack.

4. Sometimes things are better in thought than in reality (see: Dirt ‘n’ Worms).

5. Frozen pizza twice in a week is a new personal record.  Am so proud.

  • I didn’t know that Steve had hairy ears. You learn something new every day…

  • 1. My husband snores VERY loudly and sleeps through our daughter’s screaming/crying even without earplugs. I say we find itching powder and lace their earplugs with it. hehe.
    2. Not stupid…just ambitious. And nothing wrong with that.
    3. I LOVE Bayley’s sleep sacks!
    4. Most of my life is better in thought than in reality. LOL
    5. Hey, at least you’re heating up something for dinner. I made my hubby fend for himself. lol.

  • Noah always slept through Liliana’s late night awakenings. Without ear plugs. Dude sleeps like a LOG.

And frozen pizza is better than having KD twice in a week. Yuck.

  • Ok, your #1, I just want to say. Been there, done that, and totally know how you feel. GRR.

  • Glad to hear that you have the swaddle behind you! Isn’t life so much better now? Man that stressed me out… getting rid of it, that is. Sleep training going ok? We did the five minute thing (well, four minutes actually) recently and it seemed to take for ever but it’s finally catching on. Still have to revisit it occasionally though. Anyway, here’s to a new week!

  • I say dirt and worms would go much more smoothly if you let Steve and Avelyn crush the cookies with the dirtbike. It’d be a much more authentic taste :)

  • Number one: sigh.

  • At least it wasn’t Mc Donalds twice in a week…

  • I tried sleeping with earplugs once and it made me feel claustrophobic, which makes little sense, I think, but it totally did.
