Here’s the scoop: I am in Regina visiting my parents for the next couple weeks. No, Steve and I aren’t having marriage troubles…he is in Australia on a business trip. I fail to find the justice in this: he goes Down Undah while I head to the blizzard-stricken prairies in the worst month of winter? I am banking some serious vacation time with this little getaway of his. (Truth be told, I am so excited for him to be seeing a new part of the world and I wouldn’t have wanted him to miss out on such an amazing opportunity.) Not feeling up for being lonely and bored at home in Summerland I opted to hop on an airplane and fly to Avelyn’s grandparents’ home so I could visit with some dear friends and have a few helping hands while Stevie is globe-trotting.
I don’t have a camera and my parents’ computer is really slow and picky about when it feels like cooperating, thus my posts may be few and far between.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?

I just did the same thing while my hubby was in Japan. I didn’t go to the prairies though just Salmon Arm. It was great to have all the extra help with our daughter!

i’m glad you get to go to your parents house… it would be hard to be home alone for that long. i’m so far from my nieces… and my parents are so far from their grandkids right now, it’s very hard to be apart… so i’m glad to hear you’re taking advantage of the opportunities to go see them. hope it’s a good time!
