Today Whoorl made my day, by crowing me Her Favorite Canadian blogger! I love Whoorl and her zest for all things fun and the neato sidebar image she created for the 2007 recipients of the Whoorlies. (Does this make anyone else think of the Dundies? I LOVE THE OFFICE.)
Is is uncouth to draw attention to your own blog award? Perhaps. But I am all about the lack of couth, okay?
For those of you who’ve been inquiring, my bum is on the mend. I still need to use the special pillow and I continue to wince when getting up from a seated position, but I am managing and have weaned myself down to a mere six Advil a day. (Actually, today is my first drug-free day.) Hooray for healing.
Avelyn had her shots today and she was pretty steamed. After the deed was done she was especially ornery…not sad, or hurting, just filled with baby rage that I had subjected her to The Pokes once again. I hate them too.
Tonight for dessert we’ll be having Old Fashioned Strawberry Shortcakes, care of the Barefoot Contessa. A review will follow tomorrow.

Totally made me think of the Dundies! I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Office too. My hubby and I download all the episodes we can on iTunes and we watch them over and over. If you go to nbc.com, there’s a cool quote game! (“Hey Pam, you heart NY. Can I pick you up anything?”)
