My Girl

Lost in Translation

Hello! My name is Avelyn and today I had my very first Easter. At first I didn’t know what the heck was happening. I’m told that bunny ears are festive but if that’s true then why was I the only one wearing them? They tasted much better than they looked.

Then my mom slipped me out of my nice, cozy pj’s and forced my tender baby-soft skin into the Itchy Dress. It was kind of an apricot/peachy/canteloupey colour and while it brought out my eyes I felt uncomfortable and a tad awkward. Aren’t my mom’s new shoes hot, though? She’s got nice legs, too. I see where I got my chubby knees from.

After a few minutes of posing I resigned myself to the fact that I did, indeed, look gooood. It’s a tough job, being cute, but someone’s gotta do it. ANTM Season 43, watch out!

Lookin Gooood

Then while I was screaming in my crib when I was supposed to be sleeping, Mom made this. I heard her cursing that the cake was crumbling at the sides while she was icing it and I could sense she was almost ready to smash it on the floor but I’m glad she persevered because with an extra coat of peanut butter icing, this cake turned out pretty fine.

I even got a taste.

Two words: De. Lish.

Yummers

Happy Easter, everyone!

Is there any cake left over?

  • Now those are some fantastic shoes! And yours are nice too, Amanda.

Very, very, very cute. Avelyn looks even more edible than that cake.

  • I just called child services about the cruelty of putting bunny ears on avelyn. They’re on their way to your house to put bunny ears on YOU! I will be coming april 21st to give poor avelyn therapy for 1 hour. I think together, we can help get her through this difficult time ;)

IT’S OKAY, AVELYN! I’LL SAVE YOU!

  • Good things come in three’s: Avelyn is adorable, that cake looks scrumpious, and I love your shoes!

  • Dear Avelyn,
Make sure you tell your mom never to waste good cake even if it doesn’t look good it TASTES good and that is like the 11th commandment…thou shalt not waste peanut butter cake. BTW you simply adorable in your peachy, melon, coral dress and I pinky swear, you were not the only one wearing bunny ears on Easter.
