Nine months ago today I was as pregnant as they come, writhing in a pain in a hospital bed, in the 26th of what would be a 40 hour labour. It seems like a whole lifetime ago, and I suppose it was. Some days I can’t completely fathom that this little child with curly sideburns and snaggle teeth is my daughter: part of me and part of Steve, but wholly her own little being.

I can’t imagine her being anything but a baby.
I can’t wrap my mind around the notion of her hopping on a school bus full of strangers for her first day of grade school, or watching her get her heart broken by the first jerk who makes her feel like she’s not good enough.
These nine months have been the best of my life.
I know I did nothing to deserve them but I am thankful for the merciful blessings that surround me.

Who is that little girl?! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR BABIES!?!
Awwww, what a sweetie! Such a miracle.
What a sweetie and definitely a blessing to everyone who casts their eyes on her. :)
love that picture…she looks angelic!
Beautiful!
They grow up way too fast- I already feel like a wedding is just around the corner for us!
She’s a beauty! And growing up TOO FAST!
I love that picture!
Hi Amanda! Thank you so much for the congrats ~ it was great hearing from you again! I’m actually on a little bit of bed rest at the moment (heard the baby’s h/b again yesterday at 155 so that was reassuring) but still sneak out to check my e-mail! Avelyn is just beautiful, and I can’t wait to write about our little one later this year. Enjoy the sunny Okanagan!
We’re blessed because He loves us. It’s just that simple :) Beautiful photo, Amanda.
She is such a gorgeous sweetie Amanda. What a precious gift from God. I sent these photos on to my sister Peggy , as she does not read the blogs. She was so in awe of how gorgeous Avelyn is. She was also reminded that Avelyn looks alot like her Brian when he was a baby. Maybe it is the cuteness. But baby Brian had the same hair, cheeks, and gorgeous face as Avelyn. Awe.
What a little doll. I love the way you describe her, it gives her a true character!
beautiful. the picture and the post!
Gorgeous picture, beautiful post.
My most beautiful, precious granddaughter;truly a blessing from God,as was her precious Mommy.Missy, you have changed our lives, and enriched us in so many ways;your little girl will do the same for you and Steve. It is the most stretching and growing time of your life, but so rewarding as well. She will bring you to your knees, praying for help, and praising God for the wonder that she is,and that He chose you and Steve to be her Mommy and Daddy.Hang in there during teething hell!
Eric and I just love the poop volcano! We can’t wait to see what eruption arrives in Greenlee’s pants.
Oh Amanda, your little girl is sooooo cute.
You must stop by next time you are thru the fraser valley… we have to set a play date for our two cuties.
