Good health is just a hop, skip and jump away for my dear girl. Her ears are feeling better thanks to some antibiotics (or what little of them I was able to force into her system…how did she learn to clench her teeth and purse her lips so tightly, making an impenetrable gate, refusing any medicine to enter?). She’s still barfing and diarrheaing everyday but so are most of the other babies we know. They’re sharing a cruel, cruel tummy bug that makes them hurl all over themselves and fill their diaper with what looks like foaming dijonnaise. We’ve had the steamcleaner out a few times to deal with some unbelievable overflows.
Last week was a blur but I am hoping to re-enter the land of the living this one.

And here is Avelyn’s Corner of Destruction. She is entertained for a good 4.5 minutes stripping the dvds from the shelf and eating the spines of books.

I completely forgot how 9 – 12 month olds do that (tearing books/DVDs/CDs off shelves)… until Paige hit the magical age. I have completely given up putting our CD collection away.

I found this the most exhausting stage! The crawl around and pull everything off the shelf months.

Aah, the fun age of pulling everything over on top of themselves. Be glad though, at least she stays home with you, unlike teens who tend to not want to spend more than the time it takes to say, “I need some money!” with you. Luckily, it can take me a long time to find them the money, and they have to be nice while I’m scrounging for it, so we do get in a few moments of conversation then.
Glad to hear she is on the mend. I will never forget the ear infection days. Yikes!
So glad to hear that Avelyn is on the mend. Hope all the other babies start feeling better soon as well!
