I like to think I’m a pretty stylish kid. I usually wear cool jeans, hip tops and trendy dresses. Today, however, my mom forever tarnished my reputation as a fashion maven. She put me in this:
Oh my gawsh. I know that I’m better protected from the sun’s rays in this suit but I have two words for you: camel toe. I was so embarrassed.
Then my mom topped it all off with this ridiculous hat, circa 1987.
See that cheezie in my hand? Call it self-medication. I needed to forget my woes.

That hat is truely terrible but who knows, maybe one day they’ll be in again and Avelyn will look at this picture and think “My Mom really was stylin!” Then again lets hope that never comes back in style.
I was looking at pictures of myself as a small child and got to wondering if my kids will ever hate me for how I dress them. The answer is a resounding yes. And then they’ll do the same thing to their kids. Such a funny thing what we make our kids wear!

You did NOT say camel toe about your daughter. Holy crap that is hilarious….you are my friendship soul mate (does that sound too gay?) The hat, are you crapping me, did you scower every second hand store in your country to find something so insanely 80’s? Poor, poor Avelyn, you must quickly put her in something 2007 STAT to redeem her reputation. I still love ya Avelyn, camel toe and crazy hat flap in all.

Last night I got my US Weekly magazine and there was a pic of Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck’s daughter, Violet, in almost the EXACT same outfit at the beach – 80’s flap hat and all. So you are dressing Avelyn in cutting-edge Elite-Hollywood-baby fashion and you just didn’t know it.
I think its cute Amanda…no matter what you put her in she will be cute..hehehe..and just think..at least she wont get a burn
She’s still cute in a very 80’s sort of way. The hat is too much, I couldn’t get Charlie to keep that on his head to save my life.

Those suits are hard to find, especially for girls. She’ll thank you when she’s older and her skin isn’t all wrinkly and cancerous. =)
