Today marks my final day in the prairies. Come tomorrow morning, at 6 am, Avelyn and I will be drifting through the clouds on an airplane.
I am still here, in Regina, with the folks. It’s been a nice visit thus far despite Avelyn’s horrendous moods.
Mercy.Â
Avelyn was a monstrous flying companion today as we soared from the Okanagan to the prairies.
The other day I was running behind on laundry (who am I kidding? I am perpetually behind on laundry) so when I went to dress Avelyn for the day, it was slim pickin’s in her closet.
OK. So now we’re finally feeling better (*knocks forcefully on wooden table*). Last night was rough but today Avelyn seemed to turn a corner. She’s looking more like herself.
You cried out last night and I padded down the dark hallway to fish you from your crib. You were tear-stained and shaking as I rocked you in our chair.
